Kylie Lip Kit
Lipstick: Velvet Teddy | Pencil: Staunchly Stylish
Your girl here loves lipstick and I am not afraid to try different colors! I recently purchased the Kylie Lip Kit because I was dying to see what the commotion was all about. So when I was asked to do a review on my blog, by a few friends, I was totally down to share my personal opinion.
I will say I think the name is what everyone is excited about the most because the product itself isn't my favorite. I love matte lipstick so when I got the Candy K color I was thrilled but when I used it the first time I was honestly disappointed. Matte lipstick is traditionally more dry but the level of crusty my lips got was insane! I adore the color but for someone with dry lips already this product was not the best. The next time I used it, I layered chap-stick on first then put the Kylie Kit on top and the result was a little better.
I will say that MAC matte lipsticks have more hydration and they have liners to pair with most colors. I went to the Mac counter at my local Nordstrom and the cosmetic lady paired a lipstick and liner together. I immediately fell in love. The look reminded me a lot the Kylie Lip Kit so the purchase was even better!
How do you feel about the Kylie Lip Kit?

I feel really overwhelmed by just how long the title of this post is, lol. I am also getting anxiety of people watching me do my hair and listening to my voice. This was the weirdest experience for me to do so don't make too much fun of me!
I have gotten many questions on how I curl my hair and when I would tell people I did it with a $27 Walgreens straightener I normally got weird looks. My straightener is about 1.5" wide and has an adjustable temperature dial. I forgot to mention in the video that my hair had not been washed in a day because it will hold the curl better. Also, I used this dry shampoo prior and then brushed out my knotted hair. I typically don't use hairspray because I don't like how it gets crusty and holds the curlers tighter. I like to just curl, brush, and tease for a more natural look!
All I have to say is bless your soul if you can use a curling iron!

I absolutely loooooove having my make up done. There is nothing like getting all glommed up by people who actually know what they are doing. For my last sorority formal, I got my make up done at the MAC counter in my local Nordstrom. If you ever find yourself stopping by La Cantera mall visit Justin at Nordstrom and he will definitely hook it up. I walked out feeling flawless and even more excited for my formal later that evening.
Your girl here barely has any lashes so it was a no brainer to get falsies put on. Just to add a little more drama, I went with a dark lip that matched so perfectly with my dress.
If you want to try to attain this look yourself, I put every product used on my face down below!

This lipstick was not my fave. It barely lasted an hour and was seriously so crusty. I am learning that matte lipstick that is applied glossy style just does not work for me. I prefer the good old fashion stick applicant.
