Bodysuit: Forever 21 (three colors!) | Skirt: Forever 21 | Booties: last season Steve Madden (similar)
I am a strong believer in dressing for the season, not the weather but it isn't easy when living in South Texas where there are only like 2 cold months all year. Here are a few tips on how to dress for the season while baring the heat!
There is a difference between hot pink for the summer and soft pink for the winter. Everyone is aware of traditional "fall" colors; burnt orange, burgundy, olive green. In order to become more Fall, the first step is incorporating the earth tones into your daily wardrobe. The orange body suit I am wearing is a perfect example! It is a really thin long sleeve that makes for a good weather transition.
The essentials are suede, corduroy, and leather. In order to stay cool during the transition, pair a light long sleeve with a suede skirt or leather shorts. Similar to what I did above with a long sleeve and denim skirt. You can never go wrong with denim!
Once you pair the top and bottom, keep the add on's simple. Don't wear a blanket scarf and over the knee boots because you will die. Instead stick to booties and wool hats. Trade in your light shades for darker lipstick colors and throw on a choker.
